Chi Alpha is under the purview of a larger organization, The Assemblies of God, that devoted their effort to the grow and edification of the Church worldwide. David Hernandez
David grew up in Lancaster California, just north of Los Angeles. In 2015, he graduated from Eastside High School and began attending UC Merced. It was here that Jesus pulled him out of the party lifestyle. He went from pushing weed, to preaching Jesus. He Graduated in 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science and 2 years later married his beautiful wife and together they embarked on the journey of a life-time. On his free time, he pursues running with the goal of completing a marathon, hiking, strategy board games, and loves learning about history! (Any history : Sports, Civilizations, Biblical Archeology etc.) He also loves to share his story with anyone willing to listen.
Aurora
Hernandez
Grew up in Hayward California, just east of San Francisco. In 2017, she graduated from Impact Academy High School and reluctantly attended UC Merced. She was planning on creating an organization on New Age & witchcraft on campus but God had other plans. On her first weekend there, she met a Chi Alpha students that demonstrated the love of God to her. In her first semester, she was then transformed by the power of God and left behind her new age & witchcraft practices. She Graduated in 2021 with a B.S. in Cognitive Sciences and Minor in Psychology and then married David. Aurora let go of her career plans to dedicate her life to missions work on the college campuses after getting a call from God. Aurora enjoys taking walks in the sun, painting, sight-seeing, and learning about Jesus.
